Studio Theatre

A Black Box Laboratory Performance Venue

Studio Theatre is a flexible 40′ x 60′ black-box venue, dedicated to hosting the creative and experimental work of Knox students. An intimate, yet fully capable space, Studio functions as a laboratory for student directors, actors, designers, and playwrights. It is regularly the location of one-acts and full-length plays, as well as comedy improv, playwright’s workshop, visiting artists, dance concerts, devised theatre, and bare stage productions. With a complete overhead suspension grid, fully equipped sound and lighting systems, moveable audience risers, and five entrance/exit locations, Studio allows students to work and create in an experimental space with endless possibilities.
