A rainy night in the New Orleans French Quarter. A young college student, John Polk, sits alone in abar, waiting to head to his appointment at a brothel. Ashbe, a teenage girl with a bag of stolenashtrays, sneaks into the bar and sits with him. The play explores each of their hidden struggles withindependence and human connection as they come of age, through the scene that transpiresbetween these strangers.
