There’s only so much any one person should have to handle. Teaching kindergarteners? Stressful and sticky, but fine. Working with an ex after a devastating breakup? A little awkward, maybe, but also fine. Living in an apartment next to that ex? Whatever. Shut the door; it is still fine. In this piece of Almost Neverland, Leah Darling Tate-- a kindergarten teacher bound by personal and professional proximity to her ex-boyfriend, Drew—finally breaks when noise from Drew’s Christmas party next door makes it impossible to manage lesson planning and sharing a workplace and living twenty feet away from a life she almost had. In confronting him about the noise, Leah winds up sidetracked by Drew's cute best friend. Someone is drunk, someone is guilty, someone is confused with Jennifer Aniston, and someone kidnaps a dinosaur in this snapshot of friends, recovery, and forgiveness.
